 About me

My professional qualifications are:

MSc in  Psychology  (Northumbria University)

BSc Honours, 1st , (Open University)

Diploma in CBT/ REBT  Behavioural  Therapy    (College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies)

Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling

(LC&CTA, London)

Certificate in Counselling Skills (LC&CTA, London)

Certificate in Men's  Health Promotion (UEL)

The main focus of my therapy is person-centred counselling, though I also use elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) if my client requires it. This aligns with my philosophy of therapeutic work, in which the counselling process is geared to meeting the client from their own perspective.

Having previously worked as a counsellor in London, I moved to South Gloucestershire in January 2015. I work from a purpose-built counselling room in Frampton Cotterell, just north of Bristol

Skills

I counsel clients from a diverse sector, covering a wide range of areas, including self-esteem, confidence, depression, self-harm,  relationships and sexuality. Also, my education in the various psychologies, such as,  cognitive, developmental, counselling, social and forensic has enabled me to gain a better understanding of my work practice.

I also have experience in counselling members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Trans-Gender and Questioning Community. Areas of exploration might include confidence, stigma, acceptance and relationships.
Fees

My standard fees are £55 per hour.

Reduced fees are available for students and those on low incomes.
